GREEK ORTHODOX ARCHDIOCESE 2005 YEARBOOK NOW AVAILABLE
HIGHLIGHTING THE "YEAR OF THE FAMILY"

New York - The 2005 Yearbook of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese is now available. Highlighted in this year's book is the "Year of the Family" as proclaimed at the close of the 37th Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress by His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America.

In his message, His Eminence says: "My beloved people of God, let us encourage each other to experience in a renewed way the centrality of Christ and saving news of the Gospel in all that we do in our homes and parishes. May we nurture our families as 'churches at home' (Romans 16:5) with the aim of spiritual growth leading to the Kingdom of God. In our parishes where we gather as a family of God in a genuine loving relationship with our Creator and one another, may we embody the Gospel message in all aspects of ministry."

Designed as an easy-to-read, accurate reference handbook of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, the expanded 280-page edition includes updated directories of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Archdiocesan departments and institutions, parishes, priests, religious and secular media resources and an 8-page color spread of activities and events throughout the Archdiocese in the past year.

Two copies of the Yearbook are distributed complimentary to every parish across the United States. Limited prepaid copies may be obtained by calling (212) 774-0244 or sending a check/money order or credit card information for $18, plus $5 for shipping and handling, payable to:
