National Publication Recognizes
Filias Advertising of Portsmouth, NH

Adweek magazine editors recently commended Filias Advertising for its creative parody of the famous shower scene in Hitchcock's film "Psycho." In an article titled, "Scare Tactics: Agencies Find Horror Parodies Can Be a Scream," Adweek described the award-winning commercial developed by Filias for his client, Eastern Propane & Gas Company.

In the Filias parody, a Janet Leigh look-alike screamed in horror at the shock of cold water pouring from a showerhead, rather than a knife plunging through her shower curtain.

Well known in the New England region, Filias Advertising has been the recipient of numerous local, state, and national awards for its marketing and advertisement creations. Interviewed by New Hampshire Sunday News, Gregory Filias, president and CEO of Filias Advertising, said "This television commercial has received so much attention from winning a Telly Award in 1999 to being featured in Adweek the year it was produced, and now, three years later. It's both exciting and gratifying."
