Daughters of Penelope Grand President Demi Kapolis Visits District 19

Boise, Idaho--Grand President Demi Kapolis and Grand Governor Mary Pazeotopoulos made an official visitation to Intermountain District 19 April 2, 2005.  Daughters of Penelope District Governor, Lucille Kassis, had arranged an informal luncheon meeting.   Mentes 96, Boise, Idaho; Ixion 156, Pocatello, Idaho; and Endymion 282, Ogden, Utah were all represented.

Grand President Demi expressed how proud she was of this small district.  "Although small in number, District 19 is huge on accomplishments.  It means a lot to me and the Daughters of Penelope to be able to visit and meet such wonderful and dedicated Sisters," said Grand President Kapolis.

A dinner at the Sts. Constantine and Helen Church hall was held Saturday evening.   AHEPA District 19 District Governor Harry Papageorge addressed the group.  Grand President Demi shared her experiences from her excursion to Greece and thanked the sisters and brothers of District 19 for their hospitality.  She was presented with a portrait painted by local artist and active AHEPAN, John Colias.  "I am surprised and honored to receive such a beautiful gift," expressed Grand President Demi.
