PISCATAWAY, NJ – St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1101 River Road, Piscataway, announces its 33rd Annual Greek Festival, taking place May 19 – 21, 2006. Hours of operation are Friday and Saturday, 11AM – 11:30 PM, and Sunday, 12 – 8 PM. The 33rd Anniversary of this Festival commemorates the longest continuously-running Greek Orthodox Church Festival in the state of New Jersey.

This annual three-day-event attracts thousands of people each year for homemade Greek food, live music by the Golden Greeks Orchestra, live traditional Greek Folk Dancing by the Church's four dance groups, and Church tours and cultural information.

Proceeds from the 33rd Annual Greek Festival will assist the Church in continuing it's cultural and community programming.

As in past years, the 2005 festival attracted over 10,000 people. We encourage the public to join us again for the 2006 Festival and celebrate three days of being GREEK. Greek food, pastries, wine, ouzo, gyro, souvlakia, ethnic folk dancing, live music and singers, will be a few of the amenities one will be able to enjoy in our air conditioned Community Center. We will also have an outdoor Taverna, Take-Out Booth, Bakery, and Gift Shops on our premises. Master Card and Discover Card accepted. Free parking and shuttle service is available at the Church and Rutgers Stadium.

New For 2006 – Introducing Take-Out by Email. Patrons wishing to order their food for take out by email may do so by sending their orders to: Festival2006@patmedia.net. Please include a contact name and phone number with your order and allow at 30 minutes for pick up.

Young and old alike are anxious to extend our famous Greek hospitality and make it a time to be remembered. We look forward to seeing everyone on May 19th, 20th and 21st !
