Haverhill Community Turns Out for Annual Picnic

HCS--Hundreds of parishioners from Holy Apostles Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church attended the community's annual picnic held today at the American Legion grounds in Haverhill. With this year's picnic, the community returned to one of its favorite spots in years past.

Amid the casual atmosphere, youngsters and the young-at-heart alike spent the afternoon socializing, dining on delicious home-made food and pastries, and joining in the fun. Softball games played out on the facility's baseball diamond, while circles of dancers raised their feet in unison under the expansive tent canopy. Toe-tapping Greek rhythmns were supplied by a local DJ. One of the highlights of the afternoon was a raffle for a new SUV, with the lucky winner to be announced at the close of the event.
