Congressman Robert Menendez is an active member of the Congressional Hellenic Caucus who has fought for the rights of Greek-Americans and Armenian-Americans and in support of Greece, Greek-Cypriots, and Armenia.

He stands for a Cyprus reunification plan that is viable and democratic, that resolves property rights issues for Greek Cypriots, and that significantly demilitarizes the island and introduced legislation on these issues. His language on protecting the religious and human rights of the Ecumenical Patriarch in Turkey passed the House of Representatives in the State Department Authorization bill this summer. He has fought for continued funding of important programs for Armenia and for recognition of the Armenian genocide.
