Assumption Receives Clearance for Building

The Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Dracut has received clearance and permission for the building of a new House of Worship. The way was cleared at a town Conservation Committee meeting on July 16, which was attended by many parishioners. Excavation and commencement of the rebuilding is scheduled for the month of August, which is also the month when the Koimissis Tes Theotokou is celebrated. "For a long time we have been waiting for this great day," a church press release said, reminding parishioners and supporters that "our long-awaited dream cannot be realized apart from financial committment and generous support...to favors done by God, we need to respond in kind."
