Scandalous Map: Expansionist Ambitions of Ultranationalist Turks
[English]

Translation by HCS Staff

The ultranationalist frenzy in Turkey that is menacing the Kurkish people in an accelerated pace, and thus also ethnic and religious minorities, is now accompanied by a new expansionist campaign showing a Turkish occupation of the entire republic of Armenia and of Cyprus and also a part of the territories of countries like Greece, Syria, and Iraq.

One of the daily Turkish newspapers with a large circulation, Gunes, published in its 21 November 2007 edition, a new map of Turkey demonstrating the annexation of these neighboring countries and territories under the title "You say map? Here's a map!" The newspaper announced that this map of an "enlarged Turkey" is actually circulating on the Internet in reply to maps showing a divided Turkey.

In this new map of Turkey, the oil regions of Mossul and Kirkuk, just as all the Greek islands, including Crete, comprise parts of the futre "enlarged Turkey."

A national Turkish map hostile to Greece and Cyprus has appeared in a Turkish newsppaper that belongs to the pro-government, pro-Islamist press.

With a front-page re-establishment of the Ottoman Empire, Turkey responds through a headline of the pro-Islamist newspaper Gunes. Last Wednesday, November 21st (on the same day as the yeary celebration of the Hellenic Armed Forces!), the newspaper, which supports Erdogan, reports with excessive recklessness the Map of New Turkey, in reply to maps of of the creation of an independent Kurdistan! Of course such a map would make sense if the introduced map was only mentioned in the Kurdish Region!

But here it concerns a very clear FASCIST NATIONAL MAP FROM THE TURKISH MILITARY HEADQUARTERS! The map is a careful plan witnessing that it is not improvised but a geostrategic work, elabortely wrought by the Headquarters Staff of "experts"!

Of particular interest to Greeks, it takes in the entire SEIZURE OF CYPRUS,, a fact that proves incontestably the utimate aims of the illegal "Turkish-Cypriot" incursion and of the continued illegal presence of 40,000 fascist Turkish troops in the occupied area!

The national map discloses the seizure of Crete (strategic objective) for the destruction of the air and missile defense of the Dodecanese islands and the northern Aegean, just as for the isolation of Cyprus!
