William Vasilakos Passes Away


WILLIAM VASILAKOS - a resident of Darien, CT, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Stamford Hospital. Born June 23, 1918 in New York City, he was the son of the late Constantine and Helen Vasilakos. He was 87.

Mr. Vasilakos served in the United States Army during World War II, and was a roofer for M. Gottfried Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Broadhurst Vasilakos, a son and daughter in law, Bill and Marissa Vasilakos of Stamford, two daughters, Elaine Ruddy of Stamford, Deena Vasilakos of Milford, CT; four Grand-daughters: Malerie Vasilakos, Brianna Vasilakos, Loreina Vasilakos, and Amy Ruddy. He is also survived by one grandson, Michael Ruddy, and predeceased by one brother, George Vasilakos

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2005 at 10:30 AM at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT. Officiating Rev. Father Constantine Matthews of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Stamford. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
