Alexis Zallas Valedictorian at Regis College

Alexis Nicole Zallas, the daughter of Nicholas and Maria Zallas, is a Biology Major at Regis College, Weston MA, and has recently been named the Valedictorian of her graduating class.

She has also been accepted to the
University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbia, MO as one of 120 students in the Class of 2017. Along with the help of dedicated staff, Alexis' love for science and passion for animal medicine allowed her to successfully accomplish her degree at Regis. She intends to pursue a dual DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)/Master of Public Health Degree in order to work for the Centers for Disease Control and/or apply for a Small Animal Surgery residency after receiving her DVM.

During her four years at Regis, Alexis has acted as a peer tutor in biology, chemistry, and math.

Outside of
Regis, she is an 18th Century historical reenactor and is highly involved with her local Greek community. Alexis is a member of the Sons and Daughters of Alexander the Great Greek Dance Group, a Greek dance instructor, a member of the National Pan-Macedonian Youth Association, and sings Greek music with her father in the ODYSSEY Orchestra.
